It started with a friend’s business.

How a small idea grew

The original plan was a small application for my friend’s business. As I built it, the scope grew into a broader business management system, often called an ERP. Today, SiteBahi brings together records of work, attendance, materials, rentals and payments.

The name brings together the site, where the work happens, and the bahi, the ledger where it is recorded. SiteBahi connects that record to the working day, so it is easier to see what happened, what materials arrived and which payments are still due.

Our focus today is small contractors

We are focusing on small contractors, especially those working in villages, small towns and rural areas. The priority is their everyday work, including attendance, material records, site progress and payments.

What each role can manage

People have different responsibilities on a site or in a supplier business. Access in SiteBahi follows your role, site agreement and enabled features.

Contractors and business owners

Manage site inventory, workers and wages, bills and payments. Use enabled BOQ, budgeting, procurement and subcontractor tools to follow project costs and commitments.

Site supervisors

Record attendance, daily progress, work quantities and photos. Request materials, record deliveries and follow site tasks. Administrative and payment actions stay with authorized roles.

Building owners

Review site progress and evidence, respond to material requests, confirm deliveries and review extra work or contractor bills. Access to wage details follows the site agreement.

Material supplier business owners

The rental side is available today: manage the equipment catalog, stock availability, customers and rental orders. Track dispatches, returns, invoices, payments and outstanding balances. Customers can be independent or linked to a construction site. Material sales are the next planned addition.

On the contractor’s side, materials and procurement tools record supplier deliveries, purchase orders, bills and payments. The supplier’s own sales and customer-management workflow is a separate planned expansion.

Hindi support for everyday work

Core site records and rental workflows support Hindi and English. Some advanced screens and reports are currently in English. We are working to keep the language clear and familiar to the people using it on site.

SiteBahi is available on the web and Android. Entries that support offline use can be saved without an internet connection and synchronized when it returns.

What you can manage today

The workflows you can use depend on your workspace and enabled modules. Each person sees the information allowed by their role and permissions.

Site diary and daily progress reports

Record daily work, quantities, delays and photo evidence. Share daily progress reports (DPR) with owners for review.

Workforce, attendance and wage management

Maintain worker records, attendance, wage rates, adjustments, payments and settlements. Advanced payroll tools add overtime, advances and payroll approvals where enabled.

Materials inventory management

Track material requests, goods received, consumption and stock balances. Record stock adjustments, shortages and delivery differences, and review estimated stock value.

Rental inventory management

Manage equipment and shuttering stock, reservations, available quantities and items out on rent. Record partial returns, damaged or lost items, and repairs or write-offs.

Procurement and vendor management

Where procurement is enabled, handle purchase requests, supplier quotations, quotation comparisons, purchase orders and goods receipt notes (GRN). Match supplier bills to orders and receipts, and track vendor advances.

BOQ, estimates and budgets

Prepare a Bill of Quantities (BOQ) with item descriptions, units, quantities and rates. Enabled budget and estimation tools support cost revisions, quotations and project budgets.

Measured work and cost reports

Enabled commercial tools record measured quantities, work variations and payment certificates. Cost reports show estimates, commitments, bills, payments and BOQ cost differences, with printable and CSV formats.

Subcontractor records

Where subcontractor control is enabled, manage work orders, measured work, changes, advances, bills, retained amounts and payments.

Billing, payments and handover

Record bills, payments, site issues and completion details. Keep track of what is paid, what remains due and the records needed to hand over the work.

For projects that need them, SiteBahi also includes modules for scheduling, drawings and documents, quality inspections, safety, procurement, equipment and workforce management. Availability depends on the project, plan, enabled features and your role.

Our vision: a complete construction ERP

Our vision is to build SiteBahi into a complete construction ERP for businesses. One connected system should support the work from the first estimate and BOQ through site execution, billing and final handover. It starts with the needs of small contractors and should grow with their business.

Work toward this vision is already underway. The existing tools above are the foundation; the directions below include both further development and planned capabilities.

Quantity surveying and QS reports

We want to build on the existing BOQ and measured-work tools with detailed quantity takeoff, measurement sheets, planned-versus-executed quantity comparisons and dedicated quantity surveying (QS) reports.

Map support for construction sites

Planned map support would help teams locate their sites and connect progress records, site photos and material deliveries to the places where the work happens.

Connected construction business management

We are developing the wider ERP around estimates, procurement, schedules, workforce, equipment, quality control, safety, subcontractors, billing and handover. The goal is to connect these records across projects so the business can follow work and costs together.

Feedback from contractors, owners and suppliers will guide what we prioritize next. As the system grows, clear Hindi support and manageable everyday tasks will remain central to how we build it.

Material supplier businesses: sales, rentals or both

A Material Supplier Business can be a seller, a rental supplier, or both. We are expanding the existing rental workspace around that broader role. The aim is for a business to sell cement or steel and rent shuttering or equipment to the same customer, with customer and payment records in one place.

This is a planned expansion. Existing rental operations are the starting point; the full material-sales workflow is not available yet. Here is how we want it to work:

One customer account for sales and rentals

Serve construction sites, contractors and individual or walk-in customers from the same supplier workspace. The plan is to let a business sell materials, rent equipment, or do both, without requiring every customer to join a SiteBahi site.

Sales orders, deliveries and invoices

Create quotations, confirm customer orders, record full or partial deliveries and issue sales invoices. Keep each sale linked to its customer, with an optional site reference for project work.

Inventory for materials and equipment

Manage the material catalog, units, selling prices, stock purchases and sales alongside rental equipment. Sold quantities would leave stock, while rented quantities would remain tracked until return. Sales returns and rental damage or loss would have their own records.

Customer ledgers and payment tracking

Bring sales and rental invoices into one customer ledger with clear transaction details. Track advances, partial payments, unpaid balances and collection follow-ups. Record refunds or credit notes for sales returns and adjustments so the balance reflects what is actually due.

Owner and team responsibilities

The plan is for business owners to control catalog settings, pricing, stock adjustments and financial permissions. Authorized staff would handle customer orders, deliveries and returns within their assigned access, with a record of who made each change.

The goal is to keep the customer order, delivery, invoice and final payment connected. Site-linked orders should retain their project context, while an independent customer should be just as straightforward to manage.
